Bicycles: Theft

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many people were (a) prosecuted and (b) sentenced for bicycle thefts in each of the last five years. (145442)

Data extracted from the court proceedings database held by the Office for Criminal Justice Reform showing the number of people proceeded against and sentenced for theft of a pedal cycle in England and Wales from 2001 to 2005 are shown in the following table.
