Floods: Kingston upon Hull

Volume 462: debated on Thursday 28 June 2007

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what assessment he has made of the adequacy of the flood protection and water drainage infrastructure serving Kingston upon Hull and the surrounding area following the flooding that took place on 25 June. (146591)

I refer my hon. Friend to the statement given by the Secretary of State on 26 June 2007, Official Report, column 763, in which he explained that it is too early to make a full assessment of the recent flooding but that there had been no reported structural failings of flood defences.
