Afghanistan: Peace Keeping Operations

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what recent assessment he has made of (a) impact and (b) effectiveness of the use of thermobaric weapons by British forces in Afghanistan; and if he will make a statement. (152212)

The term “thermobaric” has no agreed definition and is not used by the MOD. As with all military deployments, we keep our force levels and equipment requirements in Afghanistan under constant review.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what his most recent assessment is of the capability of the Taliban and insurgency forces in Helmand Province. [153323]
