To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how much was spent by his Department on (a) staff training and (b) communication training in the last 12 months. (153245)

Records for training budgets are only kept in financial year.

For 2006-07 my Department spent:

(a) on staff training £13,032.66

(b) on communication training £975.

For 2007-08 the current spend to June is:

(a) on staff training £3,610

(b) communication spending nil.
