To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what the budget was for the Police Service of Northern Ireland and the RUC in each of the last 10 years for which figures are available; and if he will make a statement. (150932)

The Police Service of Northern Ireland and RUC budgets for the period 1997-98 to 2006-07, excluding budgets for police pension schemes which are treated separately to other GB forces, are set out in the following table.
