To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government what the change in funding will be for regional development agencies when they are designated as regional planning bodies. (153903)

Funding for regional development agencies for the next three years will be determined through their forthcoming comprehensive spending review settlement. The level and timing of any additional funding in relation to additional planning functions will be dependent on the measures set out in the legislation necessary to enable the regional development agencies to assume these functions.
