English Nature employed four full-time press officers. In October 2006, English Nature merged with part of the Countryside Agency (which employed two full-time press officers) and part of the Rural Development Service (which was covered by DEFRA’s press officers) to form Natural England. The number of press officers employed by Natural England is six.
