22. To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what recent discussions he has had with the US Administration on the UK's special relationship with the US. (156147)

My right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary has a regular dialogue with his American counterpart. As both my right hon. Friends the Prime Minister and the Foreign Secretary have said repeatedly, our relationship with the United States will continue to be the single most important bilateral relationship for the United Kingdom. Our discussions with the US Administration take place within this very clear context.
