Prisoners: Voting Rights

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice whether the Government plans to legislate to give convicted prisoners the right to vote following the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights in Hirst v. UK. (158397)

The Government are currently considering how to take forward the implementation of the Hirst judgment in light of the first stage consultation on this issue.
