To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform if he will list the contracts his Department signed on a consultancy basis with a net value of more than £20,000 in 2006. (159317)

[holding answer 18 October 2007]: Central records indicate that in the financial year 2006-07 the Department spent £40.2 million on consultancy services.

Further information is not held centrally and could be provided only at disproportionate cost.
