Figures for those participating in apprenticeships can be derived from the Learning and Skills Council’s (LSC) individualised learner record (ILR). There were 1,900 learners on apprenticeships and 770 on advanced apprenticeships in Sandwell local authority (based on home post code of the learner) in 2005/06.
