Departments: Overtime

Volume 465: debated on Thursday 25 October 2007

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer how much was paid to staff in overtime in his Department in each of the last 12 months. (159914)

However, where this has not been practical, the following table gives the amounts paid in overtime to HM Treasury staff in each of the past 12 months.

The peaks in December 2006/January 2007 and March 2007 are due to Treasury staff working additional hours in preparation for the pre-Budget report in December 2006 and the annual Budget in March 2007.
