To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many statutory instruments his Department laid before Parliament between 2 May 1997 and 27 June 2007. (167088)

Our records show that 1,311 statutory instruments were made by the Treasury in the period concerned. How many of these instruments were laid before both Houses of Parliament or before the House of Commons could be determined only at disproportionate cost.
