Eligibility for the Working Neighbourhoods Fund (WNF) will be determined on the basis of the Index of Multiple Deprivation 2007 (IMD 2007), which is a robust measure of small area deprivation. Areas that will qualify for the WNF are those that have high concentrations deprivation.

We are currently assessing the likely impact of the new fund on eligible areas and will announce the list of authorities and their funding in December alongside the provisional Local Government Finance Settlement.
