To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions what estimate he has made of the number of people there are on income support benefit who are working (a) part-time and (b) full-time. (168772)

Income support is not payable to people who work full-time.

The number of people in receipt of income support who declare part-time earnings is 49,300, as at quarter ending May 2007.

Note: Figures are uprated to Work and Pension Longitudinal Study totals, rounded to the nearest 100.
