To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what representations her Department has made in the Council of Europe on revision by international instrument of Article 3 of the European Charter of Human Rights as it applies in deportation cases. (164449)

None. As I made clear when I wrote to the chair of the Joint Committee on Human Rights in August, the Government are not seeking to amend the text of article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
