Police: Cumbria

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many serving police officers there were in (a) Cumbria and (b) Westmorland and Lonsdale constituency in each of the last 10 years. (175386)

[holding answer 18 December 2007]: Figures for Cumbria appear in the following table. Figures for Westmorland and Lonsdale are not collected centrally, as local area police personnel figures are collected at Basic Command Unit rather than constituency level.
