To ask the Secretary of State for Health what his plans are for the repayment of the one-off borrowing by North Bristol Trust as part of its financial recovery programme; and if he will make a statement. (173771)

[holding answer 13 December 2007]: We have agreed with the South West Strategic Health Authority (SHA) that the one off borrowing will be repaid in full to the Department, within the next five years. The SHA and North Bristol NHS Trust are currently constructing the details of the repayment.
