Floods: Warnings

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what plans he has to review the flood warning system operated by the Environment Agency, including the most appropriate form of warning given; and if he will introduce an opt-out system of flood warning registration. (175669)

I refer the hon. Member to Sir Michael Pitt’s Interim Report on the 2007 floods, to which the Secretary of State responded to on 17 December.
