Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust: Nurses

To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many new nursing staff were employed in the Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in each year since 1997. (180861)

The following table shows the estimated number of nurse joiners at Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals National Health Service Foundation Trust as at 30 September 2004, 2005 and 2006 which are the latest data available.

1. These figures are estimates based on annual snapshots. It is possible for a nurse to join and leave between 30 September in two consecutive years and not be counted as a joiner.

2. The joiners do not include bank staff and are joiners to the organisation, not newly qualified nurses joining the NHS.

3. The joiners may have been previously employed by the trust.
