Human Papilloma Virus: Finance

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what assessment he has made of the Barnett consequentials for the rollout of human papilloma vaccines for women in Wales in 2008. (183825)

Funding for the Welsh Assembly Government in 2007-08 was announced as part of the 2004 spending review and in 2008-09 as part of the 2007 comprehensive spending review. The Welsh Assembly Government received Barnett consequentials on the increases in spending for the Department of Health but the Welsh funding is on a block basis rather than disaggregated by specific spending streams such as funding for the rollout of accessing human papilloma vaccines for women.
