The A57/A628 Mottram Tintwistle Bypass Public Inquiry started in June 2007 but took a number of years of preparation to get to this stage. Approximately £11.8 million has been spent by the Highways Agency on preparation for the A628 Mottram Tintwistle Bypass scheme.
