Bangladesh: Overseas Aid

To ask the Secretary of State for International Development what humanitarian programmes are funded by his Department in Bangladesh. (186722)

Total UK aid to Bangladesh in 2007-08 is £116.7 million. This includes just over £10 million of funding for emergency assistance to meet the humanitarian needs of people affected by the floods and by Cyclone Sidr in 2007, listed as follows.
