Later this year the Government will launch a consultation on what more we should do to increase renewable energy use to meet our share of the target. This will cover a broad range of issues, including what contribution different types of renewable generation might make to the target. However the precise technology mix in the electricity sector in 2020 will be a matter for electricity generators to determine.
