To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport how much funding the National Lottery Commission received from (a) the National Lottery Distribution Fund and (b) the Olympic Lottery Distribution Fund in each of the last five years. (191364)

The sums deducted from each fund in respect of the National Lottery Commission's expenses are given in the following table.

These figures are taken from the National Lottery Distribution Fund and Olympic Lottery Distribution Fund accounts. The significant increase in the last two financial years is attributable mainly to the Commission's work on the preparation and running of the competition for the third licence to run the national lottery.
