9. To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how much per capita was spent from the public purse in Scotland in the most recent period for which figures are available. (190401)

The latest Treasury public expenditure statistical analyses figures show that the planned spend in Scotland for 2006-07 was £8,623 per head. Public spending per head has increased at a faster rate for England than it has for Scotland in every year since 2001-02.
