To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions what estimate he has made of the number of households receiving benefits of in excess of (a) £30,000 and (b) £25,000 in the most recent year for which figures are available. (181640)

It is estimated that there are around 20,000 households receiving either in-work or out-of-work benefits in excess of £30,000 per annum.

It is estimated that there are around 70,000 households receiving either in-work or out-of-work benefits in excess of £25,000 per annum.
