23. To ask the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families how much his Department has spent on IT projects in 2007-08. (194086)

Subject to final outcomes, the Department expects to spend £98 million on IT projects in the 2007-08 financial year. This figure includes a wide range of investments in both the Department’s internal systems and major IT-enabled policy initiatives. For example, the Department takes the cross-government lead on implementing ContactPoint, which has a budget of £76 million for this period.
