To ask the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families how many and what proportion of pupils were entered for WJEC English GCSE in each year for which figures are available. (192622)

The numbers and proportions of pupils entered for GCSE English from 1993/94 to 2006/07 are given in the following table.

Figures relating to just WJEC examinations can be provided only at disproportionate cost.
