To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions how many (a) women and (b) men drew deferred state retirement pensions as a lump sum in the most recent year for which figures are available; and if he will make a statement. (195640)

Figures include inherited lump sums. 5. The option to take a lump sum was introduced in April 2006 but only for those deferring for a minimum of 12 months.
