Infant Mortality

Volume 474: debated on Tuesday 1 April 2008

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer with reference to the answer of 20 December 2005, Official Report, column 2799W, on infant mortality, what the infant mortality rate was in each year since 2004 in each primary care trust area in England. (196383)

The information requested falls within the responsibility of the National Statistician who has been asked to reply.

The National Statistician has been asked to reply to your recent question with reference to the Answer of 20th December 2005, Official Report, column 2799W, on infant mortality, what the infant mortality rate was in each year since 2004 in each primary care trust area in England. The most recent year for which figures are available is 2006; figures requested for the years 2004 - 2006 are given in the attached table.
