10. To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform what recent assessment he has made of progress on the Post Office network change programme; and if he will make a statement. (198420)

To date, 26 out of the network change programme's 47 area plans have gone out to public consultation and final decisions announced for 15 of them. The programme is scheduled to be complete by the end of the year.

16. To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform what recent discussions he has had with the management of Post Office Ltd about the provision of Government services by post offices. (198428)

I regularly meet and discuss a range of issues relating to the post office network with the Managing Director of Post Office Ltd. These include its contracts to provide Government services.
