The Cabinet Office has met civil service union representatives regularly to discuss actions being taken to achieve a truly diverse civil service workforce, and have a diverse group of people delivering public services. These meetings are ongoing.

The procurement of private-sector suppliers to deliver public-services is governed by procurement policy. The Office of Government Commerce in HM Treasury leads on procurement policy.
