Coastal Areas: Finance

Volume 475: debated on Tuesday 6 May 2008

To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport if he will provide a break down of the sources of funding for the Sea Change programme. (202337)

The £45 million Sea Change fund (£15 million a year over three years 2008-11) will come from DCMS departmental funds made available through the 2007 Comprehensive Spending Review. Partnership funding for large grants will come from regional development agencies and other public and private sources. Local authorities will be encouraged to seek partnership funding for projects eligible under the open application programme from a variety of public, private and voluntary sector sources.
