To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster pursuant to the answer of 13 March 2008, Official Report, column 593W, on industrial health and safety, what the incident reported in 10 Downing Street between April 2006 and March 2007 was; whether it involved (a) an injury, (b) a disease and (c) a dangerous occurrence; and how many of those affected were (i) civil servants, (ii) special advisers and (iii) Ministers. The incident related to the use of a drilling machine by a sub-contractor working on behalf of the Cabinet Office and was recorded as a near-miss/dangerous occurrence under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995. No injuries were suffered by any person.
