To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what plans she has to involve representatives of shooting interests in the setting of the cost of firearm and shotgun certificates and related authorisations; and if she will make it her policy to consult such representatives before any fee increase. It is for the police service to identify in the first instance the costs associated with firearms administration. Representatives of shooting interests will be consulted at an early stage before any changes are made to the fees for issuing certificates.
