To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether DNA data may be shared between EU states through the European database of dangerous offenders in relation to organised crime. (194663)

The project to develop a European database of dangerous offenders is in the very early stages and no timetable for its becoming operational has yet been set out. No decisions have yet been taken as to whether any biometric information, including DNA should be on this database.
