Departmental Public Participation

Volume 476: debated on Monday 2 June 2008

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform how much his Department spent on (a) written consultations, (b) consultation roadshows and (c) stakeholder focus groups in each of the last three years. (205830)

We estimate that the production costs of the written consultations carried out by the Department in the last three years were as follows:

£

2005

67,000

2006

71,000

2007

51,000

Calculating or estimating the cost of consultation roadshows and stakeholder focus groups could be done only at disproportionate cost.

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform what consultants have been contracted by his Department to conduct public participation activities in the last three years; and how much expenditure his Department has incurred on each such contract to date. (206211)
