To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how much her Department spent on (a) branded and (b) non-branded stationery in each year since 1997. (200481)

The ordering of (a) branded stationery comprising: letter headings, compliment slips and business cards is a devolved activity and spend is not centrally recorded. Collation of information on annual spend on (a) branded stationery since 1997 is available only at disproportionate cost. The total value of spend for the two-year period from April 2006 until March 2008 is, however, available and amounted to £174,000.

Information on spend on (b) non-branded stationery is available from 2005-06 following the introduction of the Department’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Collation of information prior to this date is available only at disproportionate cost.
