To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department when she expects to reply to the letter of 3 January 2008 from the hon. Member for West Worcestershire, transferred from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport on 2 April, on the security of personal data of British nationals. (209982)

[holding answer 10 June 2008]: The Department for Culture, Media and Sport offered the hon. Member's letter to the Home Office for reply on 2 April 2008. It was declined the same day because the subject matter of the letter is not the responsibility of the Home Office.
