TICC Ltd: Redundancy

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions how many employees were made redundant when TICC Ltd went into liquidation; how many received compensation from public funds; what the basis of calcuation of the compensation payments was; and under what statutory authority the payments were made. The Department for Work and Pensions was formed in June 2001 from the previous Department of Social Security and the employment elements of the Department for Education and Employment. The Department for Work and Pensions does not hold records relating to either the terms of the transfer of these former Department for Employment staff in 1990,or to any associated compensation payments.
