Research Development and Statistics Directorate

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many people were employed in her Department's Research Development and Statistics Directorate in each year since 1997; and what the Directorate's budget was in each of those years. (200357)

The available information on budgets and numbers of staff in the social research and statistics teams since 1997 is shown in the following table. Please note that since 2004 the Research and Statistics teams have been embedded within each Home Office business area rather than within a single Research, Development and Statistics Directorate.
