To ask the Secretary of State for Defence pursuant to the answer of 15 May 2008, Official Report, column 180W, on fuels, in what ways his Department has worked in conjunction with the Health and Safety Executive to maintain security and safety at the Redcliffe Bay oil storage depot site. (211656)

Responsibility for site security at the Redcliffe Bay oil storage depot rests with the Oil and Pipelines Agency (OPA) on behalf of the MOD. In discharging this responsibility the OPA works closely with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) on matters relating to site safety including regular top level management meetings and programmed HSE site visits.
