894 offenders placed on End of Custody Licence have been recalled to custody for breaching the conditions of the scheme as at 16 May 2008. Of those recalled and who remained unlawfully at large as of 19 June, 24 were recalled for alleged re-offending (six of whom had also failed to live at their approved address); 31 were recalled for failure to live at an approved address (four of whom had also failed to maintain contact with the Probation Service); 46 were recalled for failure to maintain contact with the Probation Service (three of whom also had poor behaviour); and eight were recalled for poor behaviour.
