To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many times the Secretary of State has asked the Independent Reconfiguration Panel to review changes in the delivery of NHS services following the recommendation of an overview and scrutiny committee in each of the last five years. (212808)

The Secretary of State has asked the Independent Reconfiguration Panel (IRP) to review 16 referrals from local Overview and Scrutiny Committees since 2003. Details are given in the following table.
