Domestic Violence: Immigration

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether the Government plans to extend the domestic violence rule to include all abused women with insecure immigration status. (198372)

If a woman has suffered abuse, but due to her particular circumstances is unable to meet the requirements of the immigration rules relating to domestic violence, it is already open to her to apply for leave to remain or indefinite leave to remain outside the immigration rules.
