To ask the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families how many teachers work in schools with a religious designation; and how many are in (a) voluntary aided, (b) voluntary controlled, (c) foundation and (d) academy schools. (220230)

The following table provides the full-time equivalent number of teachers in publicly funded schools in England designated as having a religious character broken down by type in England, January 2008.
