To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what studies her Department has undertaken into police procurement policies and practices since 2005. (223710)

The Home Office has undertaken no such studies since 2005. Earlier this year the Association of Chief Police Officers agreed a procurement strategy for the years to 2011. The strategy recognises that effective procurement enables the realisation of efficiency benefits and achievement of best value.
