Teachers: Qualifications

To ask the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families how many (a) primary and (b) secondary school teachers in Yorkshire and the Humber did not have qualified teacher status in each of the last five years; and if he will make a statement. (223810)

The following table provides the full-time equivalent number of teachers without qualified teacher status employed in local authority maintained nursery/primary and secondary schools in Yorkshire and the Humber Government office region and England, January 2004 to 2008.
