Sports: Per Capita Costs

To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport pursuant to the answer of 19 March 2008, Official Report, columns 1157-58W, on sports: per capita costs, what the per capita spend on sport from (a) public and (b) national lottery sources was in each (i) Government region and (ii) local authority area in each of the last three years. (223834)

Pursuant to the answer I gave on 19 March 2008, Official Report, columns 1157-58W, Sport England has advised that the following per capita expenditure was made to each Government region in each of the last three years from public and national lottery sources. Similar information by local authority area could be provided only at disproportionate cost:
